Did America elect the wrong stooges?

Nyuk-nyuk-nyuk!

Congressional Democrats claim they want affordable health insurance for everyone. Step 1: spend $1 to $2 trillion over the next 10 years on a government-subsidized health insurance program. Step 2: fine individuals $1,000 if they don't buy health insurance. And get this: The fine, added into the Senate's bill, is called "shared responsibility payments." A more accurate name for the fine would be the "kicking-the-poor-when-they're-down tax."

But should we be surprised by the doublespeak, considering that Sen. Reid believes taxes are voluntary?

So pardon us for trying to get this straight, but how does drastically increasing spending and adding punitive fines make health care more affordable?

If only the stooges in power were doing real comedy instead of ruining American lives.
