Canadians pursuing a "private option" in health care
What's this? Honest reporting from the mainstream media?
I simply can't say it any better than this article from the LA Times. Innovative Canadian medical professionals are challenging the government monopoly by offering people access to timely private medical services.
As one Canadian doctor is quoted as saying, "What we have in Canada is access to a government, state-mandated wait list. You cannot force a citizen in a free and democratic society to simply wait for healthcare, and outlaw their ability to extricate themselves from a wait list."
